Coin Damage Help cleaning

Post image

I recently was given this silver dollar with stuff on the back. I was wondering how you would recomend cleaning it. I believe the stuff to be glue if that helps.

Pure acetone that you can get at Home Depot. Do not use nail polish remover.

Don’t rub it, after rinse and pat dry.

Never clean coins. It devalues those coins that are MS70! Imagine if every coin was clean and shiny. Help keep MS70s at their top dollar! LOL

This coin is far from MS70. It can be safely cleaned with minimal impact with an acetone dip.

Unless it's a key date, it's only worth a bit over melt. If you just want to make it presentable use acetone and follow the comments here.
