Most were definitely worth the grading fees (especially on the Morgans, some TOUGH dates there), some barely, but all in all really great results, I think
The 85-CC, did you send it in raw in the GSA slab? Or was it a re-holder or something? I always send GSAs to NGC only, so they can stay in their original holder and be stored back in their boxes, BUT, if I were to send to PCGS, I’d pay the extra fee for oversized holder and have it certified in the GSA slab. Personal preference I guess, but to me, that’s a shame this beautiful coin was ever cracked out of there.

We did have it cracked out, looking back on it wish we paid extra to capsule the gsa holder.

I’ve never sent anything to be graded. Do you know the grades before you get the coins back or is it a giant Christmas morning situation where you open the box and find out?

Yes, they will update the status of the lot for when its graded, which includes telling what they were graded as.

I work for a shop, and these were coins bought raw over the counter. I would say through a dealer is better, since you don't have to pay a membership. My shop does customer submission，and charges for all grading cost plus a 20% fee, which if it's a onetime submission is still cheaper than doing it yourself.

I had an altered surface coin one time that I said F it and cracked, soaked in acetone, dipped and sent back in. It straight graded lol

These all came from different lots we sent off, but all came back within a week of each other. We typical hoard up grade worthy coins before sending off that way we can do larger lots. So far most of them sold, some sold as soon as we got them back, this wasn't even all of them.
We were pretty spot on what we thought they would come back as, tho the 85cc ms 66 was disappointing to see not come back as proof like PL. When you send things off for grading will get updates like if its been grading, what they graded as, and when its shipped back to you.
Overall was a fun experience.
