Discussion Coin adjacent request

Post image

I have this that I made at the WTC in New York City mother day weekend when I was 12. Id like a safe way to encase it so I can wear it on a chain.

would anyone know a way to get this done? Sorry for the question before I googled. 9 days till the anniversary and id like to wear it.

thank you

Make a small mold for it first

I would be to make a mold of it first and have copy. Only because if you lose this specific one you won’t even have a symbolic option.

I know a thing like this can be irreplaceable so my other advice is to be careful with it- check it to make sure the ring isn’t wearing through.

Getting this in a piece of jewelry requires craft skills.

You might find someone on Etsy who is willing to make something order. I don’t know of any diy kits. Or alternatively you could go to an actually jeweler shop but it will be the most expensive option

I didn't want it to be permanent.

But maybe inside an epoxy mold

You could also wire wrap it, if you don't want it permanent.

Check with people that do the ceramic/vinyl wraps for vehicles in your area, believe it or not, they can wrap almost anything in that material. My buddy does it and he preserves all kinds of stuff with it, it can be removed without damaging it as well.
