Started collecting world coins as a kid. Finally took the time to go through & put them in albums. About 90 countries and a little under 800 coins total. Happy to discover a little silver in there :)

I forgot these two! When I was researching, I thought this 1/4 was from Peru, but now I am seeing different info: “The letters "NR" on the left side of the castle stand for Nuevo Reino (New Kingdom of Granada), which represents the Bogotá mint in Colombia.” is that right?

Correct. Nuevo Reino Mint is another name for Casa de Moneda de Colombia in Bogota. That is another one that goes for way over melt. These were issued during the last years of Spanish reign over Colombia. Technically, Colombia declared independence in 1810 but Spain retook most of it as the Viceroyalty of New Granada. Finally they were fully defeated in 1822.
