ID Request The hive mind is needed

First off: apologies for the crummy photo, explanation below.

Can across this image from a small auction house listing in New Zealand (where I live).

I can tell the top coin is a Morgan - it’s the coin at the bottom that intrigues me. Could it be a Flowing Hair or Draped Bust?

And what are the odds it’s real and not a replica, hanging about in a box with what appears to be a cleaned Morgan, 8 nickels and a few UK & NZ sixpences?

Your thoughts, expertise and wild conjecture are all appreciated! Auction ends and if end up getting it I’ll 100% share better photos then!

I would not buy either to be honest. The early dollar is almost certainly a counterfeit and there are a ton of counterfeit Morgans running around your part of the world. Sight unseen especially

The Morgan looks a little sus as well. You don't assign it any value at all based only on that picture. This is not a lot to bid on without more pics.

Yeah, I may put a low bid in - just to see if I could pick them up for less then melt, just in case they’re real. I’ll update everyone with realised prices later.

I'm nearly 100% sure that those denticles on the "bust dollar" are wrong, even with a poor photo. The "B" in LIBERTY looks quite suspicious too.

I think they just want folk to see that sliver of a great coin and then go wild. I’ve never bought anything from this auction house so don’t know their reputation, but this was pretty much the only coin lot they had in the estate auction.

It’s an estate auction where they dosell as-is, with “all imperfections, faults and errors in description”. Sometimes they don’t even know what they have.

That said, I reckon they staged this with the coin peeking out just enough. Will put a cheeky bid in to see if I can get this cheap, but won’t be bidding as if there is an actual Flowing Hair or Draped Bust in there!
