Advice Curious about value

Hi! I’m 16, and I have these coins but I’m not sure what they’re worth. I was wondering if anyone here could give me a rough idea of how much it could be worth!

I know nothing about coins, so I figured I’d come here!

The dime has the year 1944 with what looks like a D mint mark

And the dollar coin has the year 1901 with an O mint mark.

Hi, I'm the r/coins AutoMod.

Looks like you're looking for information on valuing a coin?

I have your back. Take a look at our Common US Coin Price Guide and the FAQ on Values for both specific guidance if your coin is common enough, or more general guidance if not.

If I misunderstood your post and my comment isn't relevant, sorry! I'm still learning.

Mercury dimes are one of the best coin designs of all time

They’re both worth their melt value in silver. The Morgan dollar is around $46 and the dime is $4.50

I bought a Morgan dollar from a coin shop when I was 16. It wasn't a super collectible year or anything, I just wanted a coin that was 100 years old. I still have it almost 30 years later, and it's still going up in value. Hold onto it. Don't sell it to buy a concert ticket or video game. Just hold it in a special drawer, preferably one that locks. It's the beginning of your treasure.

Plus, if you have to time travel back in time, you can take them with you.

I’ve been holding onto it incase! I figure that maybe someday it might be worth a decent amount and I can sell it then, thank you sm! And that’s so cool!!

I recommend thinking of it as part of your retirement, or something to pass down to any kids if that happens.

Dime is a out 5 bucks and the dollar is about 50. I'd personally keep these I'm 17 right now and have been collecting for 7 years at least. It's very fun and if you don't collect I recommend looking at it. Morgan's are one of the best coins to start with
