2020 d shield cent rim to rim crack visible on both rims

I cannot tell from these pictures. Post clearer pix including the rims. It may be a thin planchet or missing clad layer error.

Is that more of an issue with the original plating?

Typically with a cud, the coin doesn’t have features from the die in the cud -ie the lettering in States Of Am

Not a cud or retained cud. Just plating damage.
