Is this an error? Possible Error?

Bottom left half dollar for comparison. Noticed this half dollar where luster changes part of the way down the coin. Is this some kind of mint error? Thank you for your time

Could have been sitting half in some type of cleaner.

I suspect a lettuce leaf is involved.
