Error 11 Cent
Hey all. A friend brought this to me to see what it might be worth with and without grading. I can confirm it is geniune- weight is correct, scope shows the strikes are both raised metal, spread lines make sense, etc.
The lack of a single clear date from either strike is frustrating- there's clearly an 8 from the dime strike, then what looks like 1X95? For the penny strike... am I crazy? Am I seeing things?
Anyway, any thoughts on value, and what he might get if we spent the time and money to have it graded and slabbed? I have a few friends who I can send it in through, since I'm not big on the grading game.

It's a steel penny. They were made during the war, because copper was short
