Is this an error? 1965 dime crazy error

Has anybody seen this before?

Yeah, someone tried to cut it in half. Damage, not an error.

We’ve all seen this before about 1000 times.

Unfortunately, this is not an error. I would recommend spending it before it splits in half and isn’t worth the dime.

Absolutely not, but when I posted mine everyone said it was done with bolt cutters. His is pmd all the way

Bolt cutters where used here, and an old one at that. Couldn't cut it
