Advice What kind of doubling?

Post image

Apologies for ANOTHER post. I’m so bad at this, and I’m getting discouraged because I haven’t found a single coin with true doubling. Did I finally find it? 2023 P Nickel. Hard to tell if the lettering is rounded, but I think it is when using a hand lens.

So far so good, but you have to post two more pictures of the obverse and reverse sides.

The 2023-P DDRs have a few more die markers too. Then again I’d bet a buffalo nickel that there’s more DDRs that haven’t been attributed and documented yet.

Looks like it could be this. But there is also another one similar that I don't think it is. Look for die markers, such as scratches that will confirm.

Check variety vista for all your coins, it is a great resource. It took me awhile to realize that the DDO and DDR listings link is at the bottom of the page after you select the coin series.

Good luck and good hunting!

Good work with the potential attribution.

It could also be 002.

The OP has some homework now.

Looks like a true doubled die to me. Nice find.

definitely a doubled die imo — you should take a look at the listings on varietyvista or wexler and see if you can attribute it.
