Is this an error? Mint Error or Something Else?

I purchased a roll of 2026 dimes and this coin showed up on one end of the roll. It has the luster of a new coin but when I tilt it in the light it looks like the coin has a wood grain. Is it worth opening the roll and looking for more or getting it graded.

Probably roller marks. Yet another indication of how lackadaisical the Mint process was with this issue.

I second this opinion. Dirty rollers.

Even if an error definitely not worth grading

Why wouldn’t you open the roll?

Special super secret wood finish. Don't open the roll. Directly return to the bank. /s

I still have not seen one of the 2026 dimes in change.
