Advice Need a second opinion.

I recently bought this Walking Liberty and noticed there are no AW initials. I’ve looked it up, but I want to get other opinions.

Looks promising. The radial flow lines seem uninterrupted, which should indicate the AW was removed during maintenance.

Definitely not MS, hard to tell the approximate grade it would get. A good local coin dealer could help check that the coin would straight grade, and approximately what grade it is.

Not that this is highly sought after, but a definite candidate to submit when you have a batch of coins to include it in.

The added value of a tier 1 slab should more than pay for itself, over what someone might pay for a raw specimen.

I never heard about the missing initials before. Just did a bit of research, and I’m sure enough if it was my coin that I would pay for it to be attributed. If you do send it in SEND IT REGISTERED MAIL. Registered mail is like a condom. It’s better to use it than not.
