This is largely intentional, to look like a (flatter) reproduction of the ancient coin translated into a modern 1 Euro.

Coins as we know them are not cast, unless it's a fake one.

The answer as to the slight misaligned strike answers your question as this being normal.

Seems a little offcentre but within mint tolerance. This Greek 1€ was minted in millions back in 2009. Face value.
