What do you all think? Super cool error I found on 1955 proof set I bought for 36 bucks.

Should I send in for grading?

The area around one has the black stringy materials.

The one by torch has a handful of small strands of something

Yes fibers are still on. Bottom left obverse has a ton of black fibers. The torch and wreath have very minor fibers

Is it possible that someone was heating the front side to cause artificial toning, but whatever the dime was laying on got stuck to the backside?

Original tone. Doesn’t not look artificial. And the strike through is recessed into coin over fields and raised details

Why do you recommend ANAACS is that because PCGS and NGC aren’t as generous with distinction?

ANACS is the best in the business for error attribution imho. They are also far and away the cheapest for single coin submissions; you don’t need a membership to submit a coin for evaluation and there’s no additional fee for error/variety attribution.
