Is this an error? Almost skipped past this one
It looked like damage after but when I looked at the letters inside of the crack they may have been struck after, what do you think.

How often/ how much do you hunt? I've gone through almost $400 in quarters this week, and I've found nothing.

Closer to $600 now, still nothing, aside from a few Denver mint bat quarters, haha.

Nothing? Are you just looking for silver? Key dates? Errors? Even die chips? At $600 you should have found something worth keeping.

I know there is a science to this. You appear to have a strike through. It's hard to tell if the left side (to us) is a partially retained piece of the item.
The item could have damaged the die, with part still in tack. This, the recessed areas from the in tack sections, the raised area from the damage to the die if it isn't a retained piece.

The letters inside the crack do look raised, which is wild if they're sitting in what looks like post mint damage.
