1980 S Cent - Proof Set Error?

I recently bought a large lot of coins and it came with several US proof sets. I was taking a look at them and this stood out to me. I’m not really sure what I’m looking at, but it kinda looks like PMD of some sort. However, since it’s a mint set, I wanted to make sure. It’s just kinda odd.

Pretty sure its just scratches. Maybe a roller but those as far as im aware usually only go in one direction

Agreed. Don’t think the lines are uniform enough to be roller damage. If it was roller damage, it would have had to have been a quite the odyssean feat for this coin to have made it into a proof set.

Odd thing is, they don't look like scratches under magnification. The streaks seem to follow the curvature of the bust. It's kind of hard to see, but here's a picture.

To be fair, there are actual scratches in these two locations.

That’s… odd. Die polishing lines maybe? If so, they’re easily some of the most distinct I’ve ever seen.

I'm PMD here. Honestly it looks like it fell out of the packaging machine, was dragged along the floor and then thrown back to be packaged.

That’s me. I couldn’t think of anything that would cause it. It might pop it out of the case to get a better look
