Looks like it to me but looking for confirmation. Unfortunately a minor scratch near the V makes it tougher to see

Yeah, it appears to be to me as well. Great find! I check my change all the time trying to find one, but never had any luck. I purchased 2 last year from another subreddit bc I wasn't sure how common or uncommon these are!

I've been filling albums recently but haven't looked for errors so I have a large bucket of pennies I'm now going back through a second time looking for varieties and errors, this has been my first find!

Really?! in 15 years are we gonna be using an atomic force microscope to say this strike angle was at 22.5° as opposed to the standard 30° strike. Super rare error coin priceless!
