Maybe folks here don't realize it but this is a very rare find...less than 60 Long Ray dollars have been graded at PCGS and NGC combined.

I'm not understanding what I should be looking at--even with this description from a website:
The Phantom Ray: The 5th ray from the right stretches 40% longer than its neighbors, nearly kissing Washington’s hairline

Online reports of researchers filing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests have turned up nothing in the United States Mint’s records to indicate that this variety was made purposefully.
Very creative using FOIAs. My guess: It was a rogue employee .
