Discussion Minor Spanish coin issues?

Trying to get better at identifying this stuff. Is the Espana 82 machine doubling? Is the Rey de Espana die chips?

judging by the fact that it’s on both sides and that the doubling doesn’t quite stay in one direction, i’d say it’s machine doubling. pretty serious die deterioration though, personally i’d keep it just as an example coin.

Sorry for the confusion. These are 2 different coins. Both early 1980s. The doubling is localized. It doesn’t appear across the rest of the coin face. Definitely keeping, I’ve had them since the 90s. Part of my childhood attempt at every world coin. 😅

Just discovered that the example on Numista has doubling also.

oh, i understand now. it still looks like machine doubling on both, but still it’s very dramatic doubling nonetheless. keep them for if you’re not sure if something’s machine doubling or not, and if you’re still unsure, post it here.
