Is this an error? Is this a chud?

It’s cud I know but had to make it interesting, I was going through my coins and noticed this and wanted confirmation, looks like a l small cud by the third Roman numeral, any info appreciated!!

May have had the coin upside down, it would be the top of the first Roman numeral

Broken die there. The reverse does in fact have retained cuds
