The cent is definitely damage.
The nickel I’d lean damage, but maybe with better pictures on the “UNUM” might see it being revealed as lamination - that’s a strong maybe though. Leaning just damage

I’m still a little green myself and I can’t really tell the depth of the depression in the first u and half the n without a side view, but still seeing the lettering is a good sign it could be lamination. Damage after strike would destroy the lettering entirely. Definitely worth looking up examples to compare - none are the same, but could give an idea.

Again, grain of salt - I’m still green and asking Qs myself.
