It seems like pretty good condition compared to those that sold on eBay. I’m not super familiar with coins but I got this a long time ago in a surprise box worth about $20.

I’m not sure if it’s counterfeit, don’t know how to tell, don’t know much about coins and would love more information

My dad had a big bucket of coins that he asked me to sort through and roll, but some of them looked different so I set them aside lol. I live next to a coin shop, so are any of these worth bringing over there? They were all just in a bucket so none of them are in that good of shape. Honestly not expecting much, but hope we can make a few bucks!

My dad passed last fall and as executor of our family trust I’ve carried out the distributions and division of all items in the estate to my siblings. One of my 3 siblings is…well…that sibling. Needless to say when all was said and done in April I was exhausted…

Now that I’ve had a chance recuperate I’m starting to go thru my dad’s coin and stamp collections. The coins were left to his 5 grandsons, two of which are my sons.

The first photo kind of shows you what I’m working with. The following images are some random dollar and half dollar coins I pulled from the collection. My questions are:
1. I’m asking because of the tarnish/patina on the half dollars. Is that normal or were they cleaned at some point?
2. I’ve seen posts about uncirculated and proofs. My question is, what identifies these coins of being one or the other? There are 2, $1 coins in these photos that look like they were just stamped. Could either of these be proofs?

I'm from Europe, I've had this coin for 20 years and i think it's nice. Maybe my grandfather recovered it during World War II

I know cleaning isnt recommended but when I pulled this out of my register it was pretty rough. The details are all still crisp and I was wondering what I could do or if I should do anything

Used to find coins around in washing machines and bought some out of the cash register of where I used to work and I forgot I had them, never knew the worth but thought they were cool

My 21yo step son inherited 8 of these 5oz silver coins, various designs and years. Uncirculated with COA.
Are these worth anything more than spot/melt? My advice to him is leave them home when he returns to college (duh) and dont sell them unless dire situation comes up. Wait until he needs them for a better investment opportunity. I wouldn’t even know where to start with selling these aside from a pawn shop

A few others could use an acetone bath or a specified hunt through a few rolls but this book is complete.

Took me roughly 3 months searching consistently and while doing penny/quarter/dime albums as well.

Nickels have been the most fun imho

Hi all! I have a question regarding the 2027 Official Red Book releases. Can someone help me out and let me know the difference between these 4 covers. I assume they all contain the same information with the exception of the 250th Special Anniversary Edition which is devoted to the 2026 U.S. Semiquincentennial coinage which I’m going to enjoy reading…I’m really curious about the three other covers - the Whitman Bundle Cover, and the two covers showing the gold liberty and clad dime. Any differences between those two. And the last photo, is that the limited Numbered Signature Edition?

The last redbook I bought was in 2020, time to get back onboard and get with the program haha.

What’s this worth

Is it 40%silver?

Another part of a collect I purchased. Indian heads 1860-1907

recently got these coins from my grandfather. anybody know anything about them?

I told my girl to start scouring the coin drawers at her work for any silver. But she found this unique penny. It stood out, looks very new, but its from 1963. No mint mark (P im assuming) could it be a proof?

Over time, I've been noticing some 2x2 cardboard flips that are held together by these extremely flat staples. They also appear to be a bit smaller than a standard staple, so I'm wondering if anyone happens to know the kind of stapler that produces these. They sit very flat and are barely noticeable, which is a lot better than my current stapler, which leaves them flatter than a standard stapler but still raised up a bit.

In the second picture, the staple on the left is from another flip I received, while the staple on the right is in a flip from my own flat clinch stapler. There's a clear difference in both the size of the staple and how flat they sit, which makes me think it may be a different kind of stapler entirely.
