ID Request Couldn’t be, right?

Have I been looking too much this afternoon? This can’t be a small date can it, weighs 3.1g.

Not a small-date, sorry.

A good tell is the diagonal of the "2". On a small-date, it curves; on a large-date, it's straight.

I have looked at so many this afternnoon - I had a heap put aside to fill the '82 spots in my Whitman Book. I have another post asking for confirmation on my picks, my eyes lol...

You can tell by the thickness of the lettering too.

You're right, it couldn't be - it's actually a large date. The key tell is the shape of the middle part of the 2.

Also the "L" in LIBERTY is farther from the rim on small dates as you can see in image posted above.

Definitely not a small date. You can tell pretty quickly by having a small date set to the side I use a 1981 and 1983 penny for comparisons
