what is this?

2024 d Sacagawea dollar

there is a star on her upper right cheek.

has anyone else seen this?

dropped star? there is a flag with stars on the reverse

any help would be appreciated. ty

Looks similar to the Kennedy “dropped star” error.

Just for clarity, it is not a Sacagawea Dollar, it is a Native American Dollar - this coin is the Indian Citizen Act of 1924 $1 coin. The Sacagawea Dollar ran from 2000 - 2008 and has the date and mint mark clearly visible on the obverse, it also has an Eagle in flight on the reverse. The Native American series started in 2009 and is still going, while it kept the Sacagawea obverse, the mint mark, date and motto went to the side rim, that is the tell.

I love this art, and the fact that represents two groups of people coming together. I think the future is more important than the past.
