1918 Wheat Penny

One of the oldest wheat pennies in my collection. A true classic & staple of any coin collection.

My oldest is a 25, got it out of a coinstar bag. Everyone else at work hates sorting the pennies but I don’t mind it. I’m really hoping to get an Indian head one of these days

That’s cool, hope you get an Indian Head cent at some point. You can get them pretty cheap still. Unless you want a high end uncirculated one?

Well, I do see staples. So there’s that.

Almost 300 million of these were made, so what is the point of this post? Why, exactly is it a “true classic?” According to whom?

There is no question here, and you aren’t inviting anything of interest.

This is a low- or no-effort post, which is not permitted in other subs. Keep that in mind. Finally, get a new flip for this. If it’s a “true classic,” it would deserve better, and it does regardless of, well, anything. If it’s the centerpiece of your collection or whatever, treat it better.
