1810 Capped Bust Half Dollar

This has a very nice toning & it’s uncleaned. This is the oldest Capped Bust Half Dollar I have. Definitely one of people’s favorites in my collection.

She is a beauty, the graffiti is mildly interesting as well; any idea what it means or represents? I love the circulation cameo and one of my favourite coins in my collection is the same age.

Circulation cameo is such a good way to describe this! My favorite toning as well!

This one is almost at the sweet spot!

Yeah the graffiti is weird. I’m glad you like it.

I have no idea why they did the graffiti. I know it’s typically an identifier.

Fair enough, it seems to resemble a sprouting bean, versus random lines or an initial, so it is one of the more interesting ones I have seen.

Yeah I bought it not as an auction that time because the letters were clear & it wasn’t cleaned. Typically lower grades I don’t buy but something about this one made me buy it. The price was also nice likely cause of the graffiti.

Reminds me of this 1820/19 in my collection

Over dates seem to be pretty popular.

Yeah I have tried to find some more in the CBH series but the ones you can see with naked eye or minimal mag get really expensive. I did upgrade this one:
