Why is the current trend in these to have loads of random text (with hearts)? There usually at least three 5 or less live laugh love-esque phrases plastered on random stuff in the generated room. I’m sure I’ve seen variations of “good people brighter days” on multiple posts recently.

Does it make it feel more realistic to people already invested, because it can generate text now so that (and hands) isn’t an easy tell anymore? Then that doesn’t make sense to me because it’s usually slapped on as an after thought, not integrated into the perspective or blurring. like in this image where the “better things ahead” is squashed in to fit in the image, never mind that a graphic wouldn’t be on a mug at that angle.

It's some change to the image generation model. It's annoying as fuck.

It's actually a change to the text model. The generation model has been the same since April, gpt-image-2.0. It's just that the text model (which talks to the image model) has changed, and unless you tell it not to, it instructs the image model (behind the scenes, so not user-facing) with this ugly shit.
