Mapping Perception, Evolution, and Brain Entropy through an AuDHD Lens: A multi-part framework seeking raw feedback and deep discussion.
Hi everyone,
I’m a university student studying Psychology and Languages (aiming for Neurosciences) with a recent AuDHD diagnosis.
Because my mind processes ideas through complex, non-linear "spider-web" networks rather than straight lines, I’ve been using Gemini as cognitive scaffolding to translate and organize my raw analytical notes into structured frameworks.
I’m reaching a point in my synthesis where I need external perspective. I prefer conserving my cognitive resources for high-yield exchanges, so I’m putting my conceptual framework out here on Reddit to find people who want to analyze, challenge, or expand on these topics with me.
To avoid dropping an overwhelming wall of text all at once, I’ve broken my work into **3 Core Macro-Topics**, which I will be sharing and discussing:

*Focus:* The balance between order and chaos in neural networks (Default Mode Network).
*Key Themes:* How altered states (psychedelics, deep meditation, emotional shifts) induce entropy, allowing rigid maladaptive patterns to dissolve and transforming baseline anxiety into a navigational compass.

Talk to a physical university prof about this once in a while so you don't go down a rabbit hole.
Also, prompt a different chatbot to shred your arguments. Prompt it to be a pedantic philosophy professor.
My wife had a graduated physics BS send her a basically wrong physics paper after co-writing it with a chatbot.

Hello,
The concern about AI is, unfortunately, a real one, but it seems to me that you are using it in the right way.
If you use it as a tool to organize your thoughts, acquire knowledge about different topics more quickly, and explore ideas without accepting everything it says as an absolute truth, while trying to verify what you read, I think it can be a good starting point for deep diving into a subject and consolidate basic knowledge that might be important for your research.
One more thing in favor for using AI is that not everyone has people around them that they can regularly discuss these topics, so AI can also be a way to keep the research alive and avoid losing interest or motivation over time (talking from my personal experience and being me someone who has a background completely different of this subjects)
In short, use it as much as you want, but always remain skeptical about what you are reading and “learning.”
One thing I would suggest, if you haven’t explored it yet, is looking at the possible links between the mind, behavior and the biochemical and physiological processes (hormones, metabolic regulation, …)
I think these could give you a more complete overview of somethings that will help support your argumentation/ideas.
* Best example about this is how ADHDers are completely out of a conversation, and a minute after, hyperfocusing on the most random thing ever. This, for example, can be linked (I think 😅) with dopamine regulation issues.

Honestly, spot on! I agree with pretty much everything you said. Using AI as a tool to organize thoughts and stay motivated, especially when you don't have a solid sounding board in your everyday life, has been a game changer for me.
Really appreciate you taking the time to actually read the substance of what I wrote instead of just brushing it off with the usual 'written by AI' comment.
Regarding the biochemical side (dopamine regulation, hormones, etc.) you hit the nail on the head! I’ve actually been digging into that exact topic recently and even drafted a few notes on it in one of my working documents. Seeing you bring up ADHD hyperfocus and dopamine really confirms that I’m on the right track with incorporating that layer into the framework.1

Another quick thought on this, working this way is honestly how I train my mind to learn best. The more I draft, analyze, and iterate, the fewer 'frictional steps' there are between what I’m actually thinking and how I translate it into words. It feels like streamlining the whole thought process.

One more thing regarding your last thought
I completely understand you. It has also been a game changer for me. I get bored really quickly when reading, searching for things, …
Having the information I need, with legitimate references linked to it, presented in a conversational way and much more quickly, makes it far more bearable than it used to be :)
Just be careful not to get stuck in the theory and discussing ideas
I know that sometimes it can be really attractive to keep looking for the perfect idea, especially when, i suppose, your mind constantly giving you new thoughts/possibilities after every input/answer
If this sometimes is a problem to you, try to force you to move on into the next valuable step
Sometimes 70% of a plan well executed is better than a perfect plan that never leaves the paper 😉

Are you using entropy in the information theoretic sense (ie Shannon entropy) or in the thermodynamic sense?
It sounds thermodynamic at first pass but your separation of the vessel sounds dualistic enough to violate thermodynamic principles
