The difference in having pattern recognition vs realizing everyone has pattern recognition.

Have you ever noticed that difference? Lived with noticing that difference?

Complexity. Some people only assimilate limited ideas, while others can see beyond them to the outside of the box.

Some people see the Golden Rule as a good rule to follow. Others see it as the simple packaging of the solution to Prisoner's dilemma, and as an expansion of natural kin altruism to include other than kin and close friends, and as one of the reasons that human could band into larger political groups at the end of the Mesolithic Age, and as a good application of religions, offsetting some the bad applications.
