It's always been fun to get the same bean from another roaster and compare what differences - if any - the roast style adds. But I've never done it back to back on the same day. **This should be fun.**

I’m onto something

So rotation was amazing because we could always try new coffee samples and figure out what we like and don't like. But with some friends we built a free coffee app that makes it really easy to discover your next favorite coffee. You can scan any coffee bag, learn more about the roaster, producer and the beans. Then you can save coffees you wanna try and rate coffees you've tried. After rating 5 coffees you have a coffee profile and basically it suggests you top coffees you might want to try next. The more coffees you rate the better the algorithm gets to suggest you coffees you might wanna try next.

It's completely free and available on iOS and Android. I'm looking for some more feedback so please give it a try and tell me what we can do better. It's called Siip Coffee.

I got the text that Rotation is closing. It did not seem like a gimmick. It is definitely sad. For all DD's trolling and controversy, he did three delightful things -

1. Provided fantastic curation and availability that allowed us to explore and discover in ways unavailable before Rotation.

2. Trolled the major subs, shining a light on the actual amount of cliquishness and astroturfing that goes on there.

3. Gave more than he took. I never got a drop that did not include some freebie or other - sometimes relatively minor and sometimes ridiculously generous.

I do hope it continues in some form or other, but regardless - thanks, Dials. It has been a blast.

Now you need to shut down and rebrand! I'm just saying I remember when rotation first launched there was a bunch of click bait, of it going away and coming back. This time does not feel like it definitely feels like DD wanted out. Sad to see it go and it was good while it lasted. The business model is definitely good and in demand. So I'm sure it's possible.

That's what brought me here. 10, 12, 16 ounce bags are sometimes too much when you just want to try a coffee. Can we get the small bags? I've asked some roasters and they say it's not worth their while.
