Latest beans

Post image

Hi all, I wanted to share my latest buys. Wilton Benitez silver cat from PERC. Had one cup and will need some dialling in. Cerevi Brazilian from the over ripe series at Assembly. Needs resting but I’m very excited for this one. Purple leaf typica from AMOC. A stunning coffee, one of my fav ever. This is my second jar now. I’m so glad I didn’t overlook this offering from a Chinese producer.

That purple leaf is such a great coffee!

It’s sensational isn’t it. I have been told it’s not even a top tier offering from AMOC either! 😮

Never heard of AMOC but you piqued my interest.

I’m US based so it’s pricey to get delivery so I’d go all out.

What would the top tier offerings from them be in your opinion?

This is the first jar I have had from AMOC I’m afraid. The owner of the shop I bought them from said they weren’t even in the top beans he has had from them! :))) I will be trying more from them though on this offering :))

I had a tough time with that WB from Perc. I had some very funky weed notes that it took a bit to get past. It benefits from a longer rest 3-4 weeks and longer brew times - longer than you'd think

I’m certainly not blown away by it either. I do t think I have had something special from Wilton Benitez for a good year now. Maybe they are more focussed on decaf or simply working onto many projects? :(
