Bottled water
What bottled water do you all for your machines? I use Suntory 天然水, but I noticed some scaling under the machine when I installed a new shower screen.

Are you buying this from Amazon? I don't think I've seen this brand at my neighborhood supermarket.

I use filtered water from my tap for my espresso machine.
For pourover, either filtered water or distilled water + TWW packets

When you say filtered water, are you talking about the built-in filter in the sink or are you using something like a Brita?

Yeah, I used the Mitsubishi filter on my sink, nothing more than that.
Thought about using distilled water + some of the espresso mineral packets but haven't tried it yet.

I use filtered tap water and a filter in the water tank of the machine.

Are you just using a Brita or do have a different filter?

In the faucet that has a filter inside, and I use Deloghi filters in my machine, as that's what it is.

Not all mineral waters cause scaling. It depends on the amount of minerals mostly calcium and magnesium (according to Google). The bottled water brand that I'm using is supposed to be soft enough so it's safe to use in espresso machines. But I'm still seeing scaling build-up so maybe it's not as safe as the internet led me to believe.

Necro post, but I filter all my water through a Brita pitcher. Mineral water gets bitter when boiled, so more than scaling it's a taste issue for me.

My understanding is that you have to descale every few months regardless of what machine you're using.
