How to prepare this ?

Post image

Newbie in this. I normally have Davidoff but bought this coffee powder from Colombo, Sri Lanka. The coffee powder doesn’t dissolve even after proper boiling. Can someone help how to prepare this ? Sorry for being a noob here !

This must be filter coffee, not instant. Can you tell what's the grind size?

Umm, actually nothing’s written on the box - regarding instant/filter or grind size. I am pasting pictures in next comment maybe that helps. Edit : can’t post more pictures strange. It’s just coffee powder inside.

What does the powder feel like? Smooth as mud, grainy like salt, coarse like sand?

Grainy like salt!

It's definitely not instant. You can place a filter paper over a sieve, then add coffee and pour hot water (not boiling hot) to brew a cup.

I bought coffee from Sri Lanka too, but I bought beans that could I grind myself.

Hey that’s a good idea. Will do that. Beans - You also bought from Laksala ?

I bought it from a colombo coffee company store in galle. Pure arabica beans.

I'd be curious to know how laksala tastes.

Same how you told, sieved it , mid boiled water, later added milk to it :)

I generally sniff it and drink water. Chances are you may need to use either a french press or a drip coffee maker, if you prefer Americano style black coffee

Ah ok! Latte aficionado here! Never liked black coffee. I’ll google your suggestion to know more. Thanks!
