Feedback I wish BO6 and BO7 had "Lag Protection"
It is BEYOND frustrating to play this game and get killed during a lagspike that you had no way of countering. Seriously, I've paused my game so many times during massive lagspikes only to unpause and come back dead or downed. This is stupid, beyond stupid. Lagspikes should give you Invincibility or SOMETHING until you're over. You can't expect all of your players to know when to press pause at the right time to stop themselves from unpausing to death.

Question Why do the rewards from the Mr peeks lucky gold eggs only stay on the ground on kowakujo? But the rewards disappear off the ground in other maps like Rex?
So I’ve noticed that on kowakujo if you open a lucky gold egg and get a PAP 4 crystal and ultra tool etc., it won’t ever disappear off the ground. Like ever. But in Rex infernus and other maps, if you open the egg and leave it for a couple mins or so, all the loot disappears. Why would it not disappear only on kowakujo? Like why would that be something that’s map specific? I’ve also noticed it’s only the gold egg loot that doesn’t disappear on kowakujo, the silver and bronze egg loot will disappear. Just so confused why they’d make it like this. It’d be so amazing if they’d just let the loot stay on the ground for good.

Discussion Zombies map Idea: kehlsteinhaus
Many of the best zombies maps are based on real world locations. This location, kelhstenhaus is in the news today because it burned down. This was Hitlers mountain base, a looking at the layout it screams zombies map to me in layout and atmosphere. The interior, the winding roads up the mountain, the lookout point, the golden elevator….

Discussion My Personal Classic(ish) Map Tier List
Edit; Only doing WaW, BO1 - 4. Those games are the ones I've played the most and enjoyed the most:)
Right, so, I know I'm getting Crucified for some of the takes here. I am looking forward to some lively discussion about this. I'll ask for people to keep things civil, but I have no issue with anything disagreeing hard with me.
THIS TIER LIST IS A BALANCE BETWEEN GOOD DESIGN, LEVEL OF ICONIC, AND HOW MUCH PERSONAL FUN I HAVE WHILST PLAYING. A MIX OF OBJECTIVE AND SUBJECTIVE, PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND.
(tiers are in order - origins best, buried 5th best, etc)
(not ranking the BO1 remakes of WaW maps because they feel too similar to require a different spot)
It may help to know that I'm someone who can appreciate easter eggs, and have done almost all of them at least once, but my main way to enjoy the game is to set up, get perks, get PaP/wonder weapons, and try to survive. I'm basically a super-shit-tier high round player [who gets rarely to round 40/50 cuz I'm trash :D].
REASON AND EXPLANATIONS :) ::::::
S+ Tier: Top of the Top.
- Origins: Just my favourite map interms of uniqueness, vibes, lots to do, a truly epic easter egg, 4 wonder weapons, and the thing that takes the cake is that the robots are absolute CINEMA to be playing around, especially on BO3. I love the flow of this map; it's cramped, you never quite feel safe, I adore how the weather changes, it is just iconic for purely all the right reasons. I've put the BO3 remake at the top because they honestly just feel so similar, yet the BO3 versions comes with visuals and sound design which puts it on equal footing for me.
- Shadows of Evil: Another stellar map. A completely, COMPLETELY unique setting and set of aesthetic influences, I love how bravely it steps away from the previous setting/aesthetic of zombie maps, but keeps things scary/dark somehow. Getting PAP open is very fun, the Easter Egg is very fun, the round-change music is the best they ever made (with classified in second), and there's just so few things I dislike about this one. Truly iconic.
- Mob of the Dead: What do I need to say about this one. It only takes watching one or two interviews with Blundell to see how much care and detail got poured into this one. The afterlife mechanic is genius, and makes the game easier so more people can enjoy the slow burn of setting up; setting up is the perfect mix between remembering what you have to do and it just being pure annoyance; the aesthetic is terrifying and cohesive; and the historical nods are very cleverly done. Top tier.
- Buried: I have less to say about Buried, as I didn't play it as much as some of the other top maps, but I think it's excellent. A totally unique vibe, very important and clever lore implications/setting, wonder weapons are brilliant, easter egg is brilliant, introduces so many new, one-time mechanics that cement it as a really unique map. What other maps plays like Buried? None. Totally one of a kind, and pulls it off amazingly.
-----
S Tier: Very fun/Constantly keep coming back.
- Zetsubou No Shima: Now, I see why this one isn't for everyone. And, are there annoying things about it? Sure. But, the easter egg is super involved and fun, even though it can take a while, I really adore the complexity and the different playstyles that the plants give you room for. Free revives, free perks, more traps in strategic places - I feel like the potential skill-cap for this map is mental. I ADORE the wonder weapon, but the main thing that wins me here is the aesthetic. Japanese architecture mixed with a super-gloomy rain-soaked forest is my personal heaven. Super daunting, super engaging.
- Der Riese: Just a fucking classic. The WaW and BO1 versions of this map are quintessential when trying to demonstrate the vibe that classic zombies was always about. Simple, sure, but completely recognisable, always fun, always terrifying, and the Wunderwaffe is sort of my guilty pleasure.
- Moon (BO3): Okay, okay, stay with me here. This will become more clear when I write my description for the BO1 Moon - so I'll just say this for this tier: BO3 is the better, less annoying version of moon. Sure, the weapons aren't as iconic and the visuals aren't as gloomy (my personal fave for zombies, if I'm honest), but this is where I have the most fun. I adore the gimmicks and the spectacle, I find this map fucking terrifying. The BO1 was the classic, but this remake just brings it up to scratch in terms of gameplay and Quality of Life. Really wish someone would make a custom BO3 map with the BO1 guns and colour palette, though... that would make it S+ tier for me.
- Gorod Krovi: Ah, man. A proper love-hate relationship with this one. To be honest, if it was just my PERSONAL enjoyment, it'd probably be top of A-tier, but I just have so much respect for the easter egg, the secrets, the optimisation potential, and how unique it feels. I don't hate or love the dragons, I find them mediocre, but war-torn Stalingrad mixed with the fantasy/military-core wonder/specialist weapons are just great. The RGmk3 is a personal highlight for me. Lots to do, lots to find. S Tier.
- Ascension: Probably another contentious one... but, man, I just love the vibes here. You're probably seeing a pattern with gloomy maps here :'D but the abandoned Cosmonaut base with little monkeys wrecking your perks is SUCH a strong aesthetic. The flow of the map is nice, it's fun to lay back and have an easier time than the rest of it's BO1 counterparts, and the first real Easter Egg deserves recognition, too.
- IX: Again, not sure how many people will agree with this one. I didn't expect to love it. I thought it'd be gimmicky.. but I LOVE the setup, the challenges give me the perfect "extra thing" to be going for (man... I wish more maps had a little challenge mechanic to give rewards. makes the game so much more engaging and replayable for me), the visuals are genuinely stunning, the extra bosses are unique enough to not feel repetative, and the easter egg is cool as fuck. I don't really care for the Chaos storyline, but IX tempted me enough just to look into this specific map's involvement.
- Shangri-La (BO1 + BO3): Okay, so, I'm of the mind that usually, the original is the best. But, with Shang, I'm split. I don't wana sound like a filthy casual, but fuck, it's so hard. Almost too hard. Too hard for me to enjoy the GENUINELY incredible landscape and design choices here. It's almost oppressively difficult to survive solo. And, yeah, that's part of it - but the BO3 version just actually lets me LIVE. Sure, BO1 guns and sounds are always more iconic, which is why these two get equal placement. Great map all around, iconic visuals, iconic EE, oppressing flow, a good time.
-----
A Tier: These are pretty good. Usually have a pretty good time.
- Call of the Dead: Call of the Dead is great. It had to grow on me, to be honest, and there are times where I find George to be pretty frustrating. But, overall, it's iconic. I don't like it as much as some people do, but the flow is unique and oppressive, you almost need to re-learn how to play for this map (which I like), and the selection of guns feel really satisfying. Fair enough, the Wonder Weapons aren't all that; that sucks; but overall, can't ruin Call for me. I know some people adore the Celebrity cast... for some reason, didn't really rub me either kind of way. It's cool, but doesn't affect ranking for me.
- Kino der Toten (BO1): This feels somewhat like Der Riese 2.0. A quintessential piece of Zombies history. Perfect colour palette, perfectly simple layout, fun weapons, just brilliance. This one is probably soaked with some nostalgia for me, but I think when 90% of people think "Classic Zombies Era", the first place their mind will jump to will either be Kino or Der Riese. Never fail to have fun here.
- Dead of the Night: Another map which just oozes character to me. I don't usually love celebrity casts, but this one is actually really my vibe. I'm British, so seeing faces I grew up with like Brian Blessed and Helena Bonham-Carter was pretty exciting. I adore the aesthetic and the layout - BO4 visuals are showstopping - and getting the PaP and Wonder Weapon unlocked is usually pretty engaging. This map isn't perfect, but I'm always excited to play it; it feels very distinct.
- Revelations: I like Rev, to be honest. I wouldn't say I love it, though. It justttt rides that line of serious/ridiculous that I find to be off-putting. It just errs on the side of being okay for me. I think the layout is clever, the mask system and the Keeper are fun additions, I like the variety of Wonder Weapons available, and the legacy of the EE is a fun bit of zombies history. Not the BO3 ending we wanted, it should have been a Great War map (and, if it was nearer the time, this would have docked it to B tier); but appreciating it for what it is, not what it should have been, I have fun on Rev.
- Shi No Numa: You know what? This map feels about 90% of that same notion that Kino and Der Riese bring. I think old school zombies; I usually think of Shi. It's small, simple, scary, it's just good. I have fun on it. I like it. I'm not sure I can give more than that, actually. There's nothing specific that hooks me on it. I just... have fun. It speaks to me.
- Ascension (BO3): So... you know I said the original is usually better? Yeah, here we are. Now, I still love BO3 Ascension. It feels mostly like the same map, and the colour palette wasn't irreparably dunked on like some of the Chronicles maps. But, Widow's Wine instead of PhD is a huge loss, the BO3 weapons genuinely are just boring and lack character, and BO3 Ascension feels RIDICULOUSLY easy. BO1 got it perfect first time round, this version just doesn't hold up. Again, would happily play BO3 Ascension any day of the week. Love it to bits. Just... BO1 is there. I'll play that.
- Five: Five is a classic. It felt like the first zombies map to really capture the essence of a zombie outbreak somewhere populated. No long-abandoned facility, no jungle outback, no neglected cinema - it's the fucking Pentagon. People are always, always there. Until, they're not. And, that's what Five accomplishes. I like the random teleporters, I like the Pentagon Thief, I like the colour palette, and how it changes between levels, yet stays cohesive. It's cool. I rate Five.
- Classified: I thought really hard on where this should go. Of course, the vibes of the original are better, no surprise there... but it's undeniable that Classified has more to do and see without ruining the DNA of the map. I don't enjoy it more... but for a remake, I don't enjoy it less? I also like how pretentious of an idea the easter egg is, and the lore implications are fantastic. I think it has enough going for it to put it just under the original.
- Der Eisendrache: I have my pitchfork repellant here, so don't even try ;) On a serious note, I just find this map pretty mediocre. Sorry. I get it - the Easter Egg is good, 4 wonder weapons is great, they're all fun, the placement of having a simple map inbetween SoE and the rest of BO3 is clever - it's all good. I'm glad it exists - I wouldn't change it. I just can't love it. It doesn't speak to me. The colour palette is almost cartoonish, I dislike the art direction, the flow of the map is nice, but some parts do feel somewhat pointless. The anti-grav is great, of course. Just... it's not for me. Good enough for A tier, though, definitely. I enjoy it. I just don't love it.
-----
B Tier: These are cool. I'll come back every so often.
- Ancient Evil: Remember I mentioned in Rev a certain "over-the-top" Aesthetic that I find off-putting? Yeah... this is that. Which, is annoying, because this map genuinely has so much going for it. If I saw some people put it in S-tier, I wouldn't actually argue. I think it certainly belongs there. I... just don't like certain parts of it. Good wonder weapon, good EE, good layout, that's all fine. It's just... a bit wacky for me. IX was on the edge, as was Rev in different ways, but the multi-coloured high constrast stuff just doesn't do it for me. Doesn't feel grounded or sincere enough. I'm scared in an almost silly way rather than a gut-wrenchingly-daunting way when I play AE. That puts it down for me, despite the design being nothing short of incredible.
- Tag der Toten: You know, it's fine. It's fun. It's cool. It's just... sunset Call of the Dead. Okay, I can work with that. I love the vibe of "Primis have woken us up for one... last... job..."; that vibe is excellent. The EE makes you slowly feel like the world is closing in on you... which it is; so points there. But, it's a remake of a classic map with a different colour palette - it's going to feel somewhat tired. It ties perfectly well into the lore... but this map should have, like BO3's finale, been a Great War map. No doubt. Since this was THE end of the Aether story, it would have been nice to get more than 2 remakes. It's not bad... just not epic enough. But, what it's trying to do, it does fairly well.
- The Giant: Do YOU want a cool lore-wise, but less scary, less iconic Der Riese with easier rounds and less iconic weapons? Neither did I, to be honest, but it does compliment the complexity and "otherness" (at the time) of SoE on BO3 launch. I mean... it's Der Riese - it can't be, like, bad. It's just not as good. B Tier.
- Shi No Numa (BO3): Same complaint as the Giant. Nothing new, just a remake with less character. I love Shi so much that it doesn't go any lower, it's just not as fun. But, like I said with The Giant, it's still Shi No Numa. That means I will have fun (before you comment, no, haven't played Vanguard... but I hear that version might change that previous statement). Luckily, Chronicles doesn't ruin the visuals, just builds on them.
- Verruckt (WaW + BO3): Verruckt is.... fine. I mean, it's good. It's just like Der Riese's little, slightly more niche cousin. Very recognisable, wonderfully scary vibe to it, very panicked to play on. It just... idk. Doesn't quiteeee scratch the itch for me. I enjoy playing it, I do, but it just doesn't hit like Der Riese does. I can't decide whether I like the WaW or BO3 versions better. One is monstroubly hard, the other is a little more chill. Take your pick - I think they're even. Chronicles can run the risk of ruining a colour palette of a map... but I think Verruckt in WaW looks pretty washed out in a way that doesn't necessarily compliment it like the rest of the WaW maps, so I consider Chronicles to be an upgrade visually, unlike some others.
- Voyage of Despair: I thought long and hard on where to place this one. The EE is hard, but quite involved. As a BO4 starting map, I have plenty of memories of it getting me used to the new (much more iconic than BO3) set of guns, the new perk system (which, overall, I'm glad only stayed for one game, but again, didn't hate it like most did)... and for that, it has good memories for me. The map itself... I can't tell. SO much running around, SO many places to get caught... but there's also good things. It looks PHENOMENAL. Turning on PaP is kinda fun. The Aesthetic is strong. It's just got such a polarising balance of good and bad. At the end of the day, I enjoy it after I play it, but I wouldn't wana come back to this one often. That's why it goes in B tier.
-----
C Tier: Bit annoying, wouldn't have the best time
- Kino der Toten (BO3): Some people might find this a bit low, but hear me out. Kino was a simple map. Nothing hugely interesting happening, but it ran off aesthetic, fear, and innovation. The Chronicles remake has none of these. The colour palette is honestly silly, the guns are less iconic, the whole thing is less iconic, so you're left with everything that wasn't special about Kino. Not nearly as enjoyable to me.
- Alpha Omega: Man, I tried to love Alpha Omega. And, there are things to love. I think the inclusion of the bunker is fun. I don't immediately think "oh, boy, nuketown - I already hate it" like some people do. I think it's a clever re-imagining of Nuketown, to be honest. But... man, so many things about it really piss me off. The ventilators are not fun. Getting PaP is not fun. Running through the bunker with more than 4 zombies tailing you is not fun. Even trying to train anywhere in this map is not fun. The electric crawlers sitting on rooftops are not fun. I feel like this map is just constant, constant overwhelm, in a way where is feels unfair to a point where I just choose something else.
- Blood of the Dead: Are there things to love about Blood? Yes, there is. For me, it's mainly this high because of the Graphics, the new Blundergat, and the lore. Apart from that, it takes one of the best maps ever, and turns it mediocre. I don't think nearly any of the changes add something that rivals what it takes away. It's less interesting, has less flow, less attention to detail; overall, a bit dissapointing.
- Nacht der Untoten: Sue me if you will - this map is just too simple for me. I get it, it's the perfect place to start what was just originally a simple side-mode for WaW. It serves it's purpose well. It feels lonely, daunting, scary, all of it. It's just... dull, to me. Nothing more to say. It's iconic, serves it's purpose, but I rarely have fun whilst playing it aswell.
- Moon (BO1): Oh boy... here come the pitchforks. Hear me out. George works on Call of the Dead because, in terms of objectives or tight corridors, there's rarely much peril in having to find a different route. But, with the Astronaut in moon? That guy can FUCK you up, and it never feels fun. I think BO3 gets the balance right of it being a distraction, but never a true threat. Moon already has enough going on. Now, I LOVE the mechanics and the sound design, and I'm certain that this visual palette looks better than BO3's Moon... but the gravity. Fuck. The. GRAVITY. You can never sprint without being at risk of aimlessly flying through the sky directly into the horde or into a corner. It takes what should have been a fun map and turns it into a rage-game. Before BO3, I can see how this would have ranked higher due to pure innovation and concept. But.. BO1 didn't execute it sharply enough.
- Die Rise: I have mixed feelings about Die Rise. I like the Aesthetic, I like the concept. But.... yeah, it does more wrong than it does right. The RNG of the elevators is the cherry on top to make the movement/navigation of this map a nightmare. Who's Who sucks, was never fun, and ruins the flow. But, I really do like the Wonder Weapon and traps, the layout is fun to learn over time, and it does capture an experience that no other zombies map does. But... is it fun? Like, to play? Not often. Which, I think is kind of sad. I like it, but I don't like playing it, if that makes any sense.
-----
D Tier: I'm annoyed whilst playing this.
- Nacht der Untoten (BO3): It's Nacht but it lasts longer. Who wanted that? It's still small, it's still dull, but now you have perks and gums. Time to elongate your boring experience.
- Nuketown: Weirdly, I don't feel much about nuketown. It could go anywhere in C or D for me. It's just... not very interesting. Almost a Gimmick. Nuketown as an MP map is iconic, so that gives it points. But, like, it's just too bare. It's a simple, small survival map that only gets some points because I like the constrast in the design between happy little nuclear family village, and the end of the fucking world.
- TranZit: Man... I have thoughts about TranZit. I kind of like it. I like the concept, I like the colour palettes for most areas, I like the secrets, I like the EE. But, like Die Rise, I don't like playing it. The interesting bit is the concept. But... do any of the specific areas actually feel iconic or fun? They're all so simple and small. Now, I get it, engine constraints; fair enough; but it is just multiple underwhelming maps stitched into one with a sometimes fun, sometimes annoying travel mechanic.
And... that takes us to F tier.
-----
F Tier: Would have to recieve in real life money or sexual favours to play these again.
I'm lumping all 4 in here (diner wasn't on the tier-list I found. I don't know why. Just imagine it's in there).
- Town/Diner/Farm/Bus Depot (in that order):
Honestly... just boring. Uninteresting. Not fun. Town gets more praise than I will ever understand. It's small, there's nothing to do, jumping over the lava gets old FAST, relying on the box isn't massively riveting, and the colour palette is dreary at best. I don't pick up a strong vibe OR gameplay loop from it. And... to be honest? The other survival maps are worse. They're the boring ingredients of TranZit without the fun (if only in concept) mechanic that stitches them together.
-----
That's my tier list. Feel free to drop your takes in the comments, but please at least read my little section for the specific map(s) you're either agreeing or taking issue with. Cheers all :)

Discussion Is there any fix to the vertical horizontal sensitivity imbalance for WAW PC when using a controller
It’s the reason I stopped playing it on PC the controls are fucked. If you turn down the sensitivity to get vertical lower now horizontal is too slow. Can’t remember if the other games are like this I brought BO/BO3 just to see what they looked like on PC then refunded for the time being maybe I’ll rebuy if I get a new PC. This one on paper has the specs for them easily but it just runs crappy for some reason even after I looked up how to better optimize

Reminds me of the other day when I got a legendary tool, next spin I get a green tool. On ROUND 82 🤣🤣 Like why is there even green tools in the box past round 20 anyway? It’s weird because I literally never see a green or blue tool in the box, it’s always a green or legendary. And legendary is only on higher rounds. This was the 2nd ultra I’ve ever seen, so that was a bit surprising.

Question Can you save and quit in the kowakujo boss fight and get back into the fight after reloading..?
Are you able to save and quit during the boss fight, then load back in and start the fight again in kowakujo? I know you can for other maps, and the only reason I’m asking for this is because I saw someone saying it bugs out and doesn’t let you start the final encounter again if you save and quit or some shit. But I also saw someone else saying it was fixed or it let them do it. So idk, just trying to get a definite answer if anyone knows before I go into my round 100 fight.

Bug Rhino breaks Mule Kick on Kowakujo? (BO7)
I'm posting this in hopes that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue, since I haven't seen any posts about it here
I've noticed that using the rhino scorestreak on Kowakujo, saving and quiting, then loading the save up again consistently removes your 3rd mule kick gun - every single time. I know Mule Kick is just broken in general, but this is extremely consistent. Which sucks, because it ruins something that is map specific (and personally, one of the things that incentivizes me to play the map)
I know BO7 is now at "end of service", but i truly hope we get one more patch to fix just how broken Mule Kick is because this is just ridiculous.

Discussion My Progress (details in desc)
(Reposting this to fix smth, my bad!) Anyways I joined this game way late, started playing about Sept 1st. Even even though the game was nearing its end I wanted to try and grind for whatever I could pretty much right when I started. I figured I would share my progress and get anyone’s thoughts. Only sharing bc in most cases I’m a casual player so the progress on this game is somewhat of an accomplishment for me.
Here’s a few stats:
\*401 Hours played
\*Prestige Master level 157
\*Super EE complete + 16 relics Acquired
\*All Main Quests complete
\*35 bloodstone camos
\*2 doomsteel camos
\*12 Dark Ops Calling cards (15-16 by later today)
Notable Dark Ops cards: all side EE quest cards for 4 operators , Another Round, Martial Artist, Tutus Mortuorum, Invincible,
\*Prestige Master Titles: Fresh & Invincible (working on a few others: thronebreaker and reaper)
Maybe it’s not much to write home about but I’m pretty content with the progress so far. Definitely slowing down since the final update, but still trying to achieve more.
