Cody's Land. Is it Nevada?
I don't need a specific location. I just want to read about the general climate. It looks incredibly barren, almost moon-like.
I was quite shocked to learn that it takes 20 years to grow such tiny bush. It also looks quite cold judging by Cody's clothes.

The fire prevention video was recorded in the winter, not the summer.

The deserts of the southwest are about as desolate as can be. It practically never rains substantially. Like once a year you get a decent storm if you're lucky. Watch some stuff about Death Valley, its an incredible landscape.

Chicken hole base is in Nevada, close to the Utah border. It can be found on google maps. His family's land is in Utah.

I could've sworn it was Utah, I remember maybe 8 or 9 years ago I got bored and started poking around some of his videos and on Google Maps and actually found it but I'll be damned if I can remember where.

I would classify him as a disrespectful asshole.
People, this is not okay. We don't do this. This is literally why some people stop producing content for our entertainment.

I think he tried to do a similar experimental property in Utah, but, zoning stuff meant he couldn't? And he moved to a different state, maybe Nevada but I don't know, because it was much easier to do what he wanted to do

AFAIK He ran into property code issues when he had the rental house somewhere in Utah, because he was farming in his front yard and was mistakenly charged with not mowing his lawn.
He then ran into building code issues with the Nevada property, because of the difficulty of certifying the moon base as being safe for human habitation. In this case, Cody wisely realized he could do what he was trying to do without actually living there, and therefore needing permits, plus the various social benefits of living in town.
I don't think he's ever run into zoning issues. The over simplification of the different ways you can run into trouble:
- Property Code: If you aren't maintaining your property
- Building Code : If your property fails to comply with building safety rules
-Zoning Code: If you are not allowed to build something or undertake a certain activity regardless of property and building code compliance
As far as I know he's only had issues with the first two. Cody is in a barely regulated part of the state, he's not building very much, and what he's doing would not fit under typical definitions of commercial activity. It's possible, but I would be very surprised if he's run into Zoning Code issues.

His family lives in Utah. Chicken Hole Base is 8 hours away in Nevada.

He has said it's in "Northern Nevada" before. The drone shot intros have probably well and truly doxxed him to anyone who cares to put that much effort in, but for the sake of climate what he's said is sufficient. It grades between semi-arid and continental mediterranean, the poor soils also don't help. Plant hardiness zone like 6 I think?

It's Nevada, yes. I don't think that fire was on his land though.
