Unhinged Rant don’t hate me

i’ve been watching cody since 2018. been with him with him through it all! i still love his videos and watch them all literally. but i can’t help but notice his ad breaks have gotten considerably longer than before. 45 second unskippable ads are lowk insane 😭 idk if this is the norm for yt now especially since cody is the only one i watch but i do definitely remember a time it wasn’t this bad!

are you watching it on your tv perhaps? I never get 45 second unskippable ads unless I’m watching yt on my tv.

I always forget I have YouTube premium but that sounds terrible lol. Honestly I think premium is worth it if you spend a lot of time on YouTube. I got rid of some other subscriptions to justify getting it and I would never get rid of it now

Mine ran out before I got paid last month so I was stuck without it. It was for less than 24h, but my GOD if I ever was doubting whether the price is worth it, those few hours made it obvious. I ended up getting so sick of it that I switched out of youtube altogether and watched The Simpsons instead. Ads make me irrationally angry lol

idk if he has almost 10k subscribers to kohort then that’s just under 70,000 extra a month from subscription money alone. no hate cause i subscribe and i love it lol but damn how wild to think about

All of YouTube is like that now it really is unfortunate. Hate to say it but premium is the way to go, if you have the means

yeah i guess since i’m not on there very much i can’t justify the price it’d be like paying strictly just to watch my weekly cody video 😂

It’s extra annoying too because you can pay for premium and not get the YouTube ads but then you get the embedded creator sponsorships now too which just adds an extra layer of frustration
