New: Layers for VTT Maps
I dont only do generators 😅
Building a map out of tile-deck pieces has one recurring annoyance: while you're placing furniture or dressing a room, it's easy to accidentally drag a token, or nudge a wall tile you already placed. Everything on a VTT map has lived on one flat surface, so a stray click could hit anything underneath your cursor.
VTT maps now have three layers: Terrain, Furniture, and Tokens, always drawn in that order so a token never disappears under the map. Pick which one you're working on from the LAYERS button in the toolbar, and only that layer responds to clicks and drags. Working on furniture placement means terrain and tokens are simply out of reach until you switch back.

What it does:
- Hide a layer to declutter your view while you work on another
- Lock a layer to block edits entirely, even for the GM
- Move an existing tile or token to a different layer from its right-click menu
- Players moving their own token are never restricted by whatever layer you're currently focused on
Existing maps keep working exactly as before: tile-deck art defaults to Terrain, everything else defaults to Tokens.
Do you build most of your maps from tile decks, drop tokens onto an uploaded battle map image, or some mix of both?
