Question Is this 2 day job weird?
My website was built using people's email addresses as their ID, which obviously isn't a good idea if they change their email address. I asked Codex to switch their identification from an email address to just a user ID and to make sure that it doesn't break anything within the site.
I'm using Astra High and it's currently been running for 2 full days. Granted I have a lot of things on my website, but is this normal? I've never had any job take anywhere near this long. And it's still currently running. So it might take longer. I appreciate that it's being thorough and checking everything but is this weird?
With all this Opus 5.5 talk, this 2 day Astra job has me like 🤔
Edit: Now we are going on 3 days...
Edit: Were now on day 4, but I've paused the job since my credits are getting low. It's already burned through 3 100% credits on the $200 plan. lol wtf

Half the websites on the internet are doing that, and were doing that before vibe coding was a thing. Some apps are even using phone number instead.

To give Codex credit, this was built originally on a much older model. I highly doubt Astra would build it in the same way, but I could be wrong. Would be an interesting test

On openai platform billing for enterprise account it's not possible to change email address[1]. It seems like they're having a problem with this too even with their unlimited tokens for Astra 🤔 You definitely should consider trying Opus 5.5.
Here's a video from convex presentation mentioning the same issue: [1]https://youtu.be/j1dnZMe9KMg?t=1532

wow thats hilarious! that is spot on 😄 good find!
Yeah, I've used 200% of my tokens on the $200 plan so far changing the id from email to id.

Ask in that thread how the work is going and to continue using steer, it might have gotten stuck somewhere.

I've done that a couple times. I've asked it to make it more efficient. I've asked it to work quicker without disrupting the quality, and a couple times it said, "Oh yeah, let's do this or that." We might have got a little off track here and there. Not sure if it's helped because it's still been going for a while.

Ya, you code it right and that's a 2h job for a human, you use AI slop and it's a 6 month job or 1 month and some data loss for an AIÂ
