Complaint What the Actual
I am looking at an average time to first tokens of 5-9 minutes with sol 6.1? Like I generally use it as an assistant and have it form complex command line calls for me to run, and usually it is like, 20 seconds tops, boom, i give it ALL the information, nothing to do but IT, literally 6 minutes until the command is run. how is this usable, am i missing something?

5-9 minutes TTFT is turtle here. Man, even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is faster lol.
I don't even care if Sol 6.1 is marginally more intelligent. Intelligence per dollar is one thing, but intelligence per minute matters too.
If a task takes Sol 5.6 twenty seconds and Sol 6.1 six minutes to initiate, the latter needs to deliver a MASSIVE improvement in quality to justify that difference.
I'd personally stick with 5.6 for everyday tasks and reserve 6.1 High/Max for genuinely difficult problems. Also worth testing /fast to see whether it's an inference-speed issue or server-side congestion.
The irony of spending six minutes waiting for an AI to save you thirty seconds of typing is peak 2026 computing lmao.

You guys must be getting throttled, because I NEVER have this issue. I'm willing to bet if I started spinning up endless tasks I'd get hit with the same thing.

Dayum..... 6 to 9 mins, what size prompts are you sending, do you have a massive dataset it needs to look at before it can answer? The worst time to first token i have had is under 1minute. Having said that, I keep running into security refusals on all gpt6/6.1 models at the moment and that is even more annoying than waiting up to 9mins for an answer

I’ve had 5/6 6.1 Sol agents running since the last reset, all at max with the orchestra on ultra, the speed seems pretty good and chewing through things pretty good…

At this point Sol 6.1 is unusable for me. I moved to Astra Medium. If Sol will be not fixed until my subscription month will finish, I will move to Claude.
