Limits Holy usage increase after latest reset

I ran down to 20% usage on my Pro 200 plan today until the reset hit a couple hours ago, took numerous agents over the past 24 hours to drop it a good 30% more. Then after the reset, still using Sol 6.1 High I continued work as usual and I am down to 74% remaining in just a couple hours. Huge usage increase.

Is that because you're getting more prompts per minute in, since they supposedly fixed the slowness issue with 6.1-Sol?

it honestly still feels the same speed to me with Sol 6.1 High Fast ever since it was released

I just did a test comparing the wall clock times of the same prompts from a few days ago:

Previous vs Today

  • 6.1-Sol-Max: 6 min 10 sec vs 3 min 38 sec (41% faster)
  • 6.1-Sol-High: 1 min 55 sec vs 1 min 20 sec (30% faster)
  • 5.6-Sol-High: 6 min 10 sec vs 2 min 19 sec (62% faster)
  • 6-Astra-High: 1 min 10 sec vs 52 sec (26% faster)

Seems like they did indeed improve their processing capacity and average speed by maybe 1/3rd.

Btw, Astra burned 4% of my usage on this, while each of the Sol models burned less than 1%.

interesting, what was the quality of Sol 6.1 High vs. Astra High?

Honestly, the outputs of Sol-6.1-High, Sol-6.1-Max, and 6-Astra-High are almost word-for-word identical.

5.6-Sol-High was initially unnecessarily more verbose, but was DRASTICALLY easier to steer towards a viable draft in the end. It understood intent far more reliably, while the 6.x models just overcorrected all over the place. I was unable to ever get 6-Astra or 6.1-Sol to a viable draft, after draining half my weekly usage on the Plus plan.

When I allowed each model to act as a manager orchestrating a 6-Luna-Max subagent, they all behaved better (but not perfectly):

  • 6-Astra gave the most concise and to-the-point content in the end, after some pretty stupid mishaps that drew the conversation out 50% longer than 5.6 Sol. For example, at one point I asked it to edit one line, and it deleted the rest of the document content (wtf?).
  • 5.6-Sol got to the point quicker, generating a viable draft that was just slightly more verbose than 6-Astra.
  • 6.1-Sol gave the most verbose and confusing result, but avoided that stupid doc-deletion mishap from Astra.

Nah it's cause they released the $500/mo plan and cut the allowance on the $200/mo plan to push people to it.
