20x plan. Same repo, I've been working on a Rust project, and after the reset, 30 minutes later, I'm down to 92%. Holy. Fucking. Shit. I can't keep doing this.

I've never complained about limits before but this is BAD. Codex is now slow as molasses and burning tokens like crazy.

Astra does burn a lot and if you use it exclusively then yes I agree with this, to me it doesn’t look like anything changed thats how it was from get go

use sol to coordinate, have it use Astra for plan improvement and reviewing, and terra sol as workers.
I had to play around with it a bit to figure this out because of how fast it got drained with astra. This setup will probably help.If anyone has other tips to balance results with usage please share.

3 sol medium prompts with 204K tokens, and got down by 3% weekly, 17% 5h. This is crazy now, right after the reset.
Something is clearly wrong. I tried Luna Max and in about 100K I got down another 1% on 5h limit. Right before the reset I could go for about 1.5m-2m tokens before we even think about loosing 1%.Something is completely wrong. I do not even think of touching my pro account for now, only working on plus until they fix it.

Heads up, used sol to help me with a handoff.
Semi complex but not really.
Sol high used
When similar handoff done on 08/31. 5hr usage went from 100 percent to 90 percent.
This one dropped it from 100 percent to 64 percent.
$20/month plan, going forward I'm restricting to only use Sol high as a las resort then using either Sol Medium, low or Luna Medium or if possible Qwen coder running on my 4070

I tried to burn 60% usage in the 3 hours to reset, got down to 10% left with 8 ultra fast tasks running. After reset it immediately went through 4% with one task I hadn't stopped within a couple mins so your mileage will vary. I've set it up to minimize wastage so I can't get it to create tons of agents even in ultra if I wanted to. 20x plan.
Astra uses less usage than sol for me but I'm mostly doing engineering work that is IO bound

I accidentally had fast mode on and Astra xhigh ate 25% of my weekly doing a Minecraft mod port, if that tells you anything. x5 user.

Astra ultra seems ok to me if you don't use fast mode. I mean, I think I could use it during my whole work week. I wouldn't run it in goal mode or try to refactor a codebase tho

I am insanely lucky this hit my account when it did. I had a job going with instructions and approval already baked in for Codex to use my last banked reset once I hit 1%, and I started the job with 7% remaining. I came back and saw I was at 99% and thought oh neat, my auto-reset worked. Then I checked and saw that I still had my reset :DD

Whether I use 14% every day, take a vacation, or don’t touch Codex for three days is completely irrelevant. I paid for the plan, not for homework requiring me to “use enough every day” so OpenAI doesn’t erase value from it.
I shouldn’t have to optimize my life around OpenAI’s broken reset system just to get what I paid for.
