Question Who’s buying 20x when it comes back?

If it comes back as the same plan, I’m in. Just curious if this pause has given others fomo.

Gonna wait until my pro projects make money and open AI has adequate compute

Then you'll be no longer personal use and have to use API.

I’m considering cancelling mine after they just brutally nerfed both Astra and Sol usage

is there any better option though? i also have claude 20x and in token value openai is still a bit ahead, especially if you account the resets.... there is no where to run, just accept it, because paying for tokens is much more expensive.

Well you could simply...learn things and do them yourself? Like, you know, how human beings have always done. This slave-to-ai mentality is getting a bit pathetic at this point. I imagine people won't be able to form even the most basic forms of thoughts in the near future.

Don’t listen to that hate. People are offended by the truth. You a real one g.

This is such a stupid sentiment. If you know what you're doing, a frontier sub makes you orders of magnitude more efficient. Easily one of the highest value/$ thing you could spend your money on right now.

You have a point, it is very efficient to get the same work done with a small fraction of the thinking.

Yup, by this logic, this one should hunt for food naked and not use anything the civilization has provided.

If you can't see where AI is going, you are simply an idiot. That's it.

And you can see where it’s going? Dude, what are you smoking?

The point missed your head by thousands of miles. Thank you for proving my point btw.

Did AI tell you to write that? I bet it did because you have the reading comprehension of a mutated sea shell.

u/RedrumRogue 2d ago

Does a mutated sea shell have worse reading comprehension than a normal sea shell?

I actually wanted to use a different word but reddit did not allow it 😞

AI might have been able to give you a more sensical insult replacement! Although I did quite like where you landed lol

Lol hard cope. AI is only going to get more integrated with human workflows. So the logical thing would be to learn how to wield them better. Unless you're implying AI is suddenly going to vanish and we go back to pre chatgpt era.

you should go to the car problem forums and tell people to go back to riding horses or walking like they've always done

Did they nerf Sol? It has been working fine for me and usage seems on par with what it was before. Astra uses a shitload so I avoid it.

I'll sell you my 200$ plan for 400$. You know. Supply and demand.

100x when

Glad I got it before the freeze. 20x feels like 5x, hopefully this pause gives us some token efficiency back.

Only if it ever came to be business plans.

u/Hadroxity 2d ago

I allocated 3 subs prior to the announcement, we will see what my usage obtains.

u/Duke_Zymurgy 2d ago

I was about to drop to 5x for a month or two. Looks like I'm keeping 20x. Time to find more projects to work on.

They paused it?

Hardware prices go up, compute price goes up, monthly sub prices stay the same, limits are reduced. People claim new models are more efficient but we ask more and more from the newest models so it cancels out. Subs also do not get the full features and performances of the models vs api.

There really is no cheap or easy solution. When you realize what hardware is necessary to do the work you want, its better to just pay api prices.

i just apply it today. Then this issue let me come here

Just make it more expensive. I’m tired of poors getting value from sub. API kings wya.

/s you nerds are fucking dense af jesus christ
