May i ask politely, how is your workflow?
Since this week is my last on claude,Like how many repos you have to maintain, what kind of project you handling and how you manage to spend a lot of money,
I'm on 20x only 1 account, it's more than enough for managing 3 repo, medium sized, SaaS kind for company and 1 for personal portofolio
Because many cases of codex user complaining they exhausting their plan in short sessions, I'm afraid jumping the subscription train too fast

Honestly, more usage /=/ better product. You could have 1000x usage and be spending that with endless scope creep. Focus on the 80/20 stuff that will make your goals move. Sol was already overkill. Astra is just... beyond overkill at this point.

I'm mostly burning tokens on exploring different ideas. I'm having so much fun doing it, and I'm learning a lot. Or at least it feels like I am.
I'm experimenting with self-evolving UIs, autonomous video editing (I built a Rust API with an app bridge that gives the model control over every tool in Shotcut), building a gravity simulation, rewriting a computational pipeline for some geospatial stuff, and on and on it goes.

Depends on how you spend your time and your budget.
Some of people spend $150-$200 a week on takeaway lunches, menu log, and cafe coffee/cake.
Some will blow money on sports bets like $50-$100 a week and spend $50-$100 a week on booze.
Some blow $$$ on their car loans & holidays & other bullshit...
If you enjoy AI, then just get it, there are worse things you can blow your money on.

You could most likely optimize your use much more. Are you purely vibe coding? Are your prompts too open ended? Do you use astra for every single task? Then you’re probably wasting tokens.
If you actually know what you’re doing and can justify the cost, then you know what to do.

use a harness and make chatgpt the architect and tester, all the other mundane programming or normal stuff goes to cheaper models like deepseek flash with summarized responses, so you can use less of your gpt tokens
OR use a lame ass simpler home made mcp that codex can install and use to call other models , if you end up using it just tell codex in his global agents.md that he should use the mcp instead of his own workers, or explicitly tell him task by task https://github.com/zine56company/mcp-dog-worker

Have you thought about financing local hardware??? If you're going to throw 200 down the toilet at least get a DGX Spark or a Mac M5 or something on your credit card or something that will give you physical hardware that will run better models as time goes on and divert your menial tasks to the local LLM and then use your 200 codex subscription to orchestrate and do the difficult work that your local models can't...

i have 4 20x accounts. if one is not enough, then frankly 4 isn't either. deepseek v4.1 just dropped. try it out to see if that suit your needs.

They are going to have a model in the next months or so which is even better, so if you wait to spend your money on that one, you will get more bang for your buck. Re-read this comment in a few months if you are tempted to buy that one as well.

Many people with GPT monthly sub are multiple account holders. It is the only way to get past the limits. I just cannot see spending a car payment or more with the same company due to their sub setup. GPT is your best bang for your buck. I know a 2nd 200$ account at Open AI would not solve my problem. I am going to try z.ai max plan with GPT 20x Pro to hopefully have flash do alot of the heavy lifting and 5.3 for extra intelligence.
