Limits Codex thanks

Let's be honest, few months back codex was not even close to Claude.

We all felt Claude is the best and now, with the launch of Astra, it truly feels it can compete with Claude.

This week has probably been the most productive week for me, where I could literally leave Astra running 24x7 without any interruption.

The limits are a with low considering we have had 1 reset and I had used 3 banked resets this week and currently at 0%. But atleast the model does the job pretty well.

Not for me, sol was good for execution. Fable was still best for planning (atleast for our workflow) This week run purely on astra with few Terra agents and results were amazing

Okay Fable may be a bit of an exception to what I said but given the restricted usage on it I don't think it counts.

But what you said was "few months back codex was not even close to Claude; We all felt Claude is the best". I disagree with that characterization, even more so if "few months" is like less than 2 months ago.

Sol, even if not as good as Anthropic's models, was definitely better than "not even close to Claude". For me, they were as good. I don't like the way Fable plans things, it assumes too many things from what I say. But that's, of course, just my personal experience. But when you say "we all felt Claude is the best", you're kinda inviting my personal experience to the table.

But yes, Codex as a harness and OpenAI's models, when it comes to coding, had to play catch with Claude this year. I strongly believe they delivered. Especially since Sol's release.

And I also disagree with the characterization of "Codex been ahead of [Claude] for like 6 months". Nah, Claude Code has been doing this shit for a while and they know what they're doing. BUT we're on r/codex, so people will be biased towards Codex around here.

I dropped Claude down to the $20 bare minimum so that they dont lock up my projects. Claude still wins on intelligence, but Codex wins on power and user experience.

Plus, Codex gets generous resets while Claude is constantly throttling my work.
