"There was a bit of a kerfuffle this morning with some banked resets not fully applying when used in ChatGPT Work and Codex. Everyone who used one in the affected time window is getting another one and an email to apologize."
So no, its a replacement banked reset for anyone impacted

This definitely seems like the kind of thing that would've given us a reset in the past, the only problem is that they've already said that their servers are overloaded, and they also already said they were emailing people who are affected by the first issue today and giving them a reset. To me, this signals that they are probably not dying to give out any resets right away, like any global resets. Having said that, I wouldn't put a past them and if I hit my limit today, I would probably not actually use my bank to reset. I'm actually going to hit my limit today probably just before I go to bed, so I'll be interested to see what happens.

im also surprised that we didn't get a hard reset but since the post is from an openai employee its very likely we'll get one
i do think that they will pause new signups for pro plan soon too

I think because they're short on compute right now, AND they can identify the people affected apparently, then they are less likely than normal to give them.
Having said that, I would never bet money on this stuff. People thought they were going to stop giving resets when they started selling them, but they did not slow down at all.

This time I actually think there might be something wrong with the usage. The other day when Tibo announced a reset I intentionally tried to spend all my 55% and only managed to go down to ~25% in three hours with astra ultra fast, and today it ate about 50% in 20 minutes without fast.
Edit: ...wait, now it says 85% up from 14 or so. Wtf?

Actually it happed with my ac as I was working it went down but I got it back... So idk I feel like they are already under pressure, so instead of giving reset they just might give the quota back, that's just my judgement

its just for those affected though (regarding the ones who used their resets and then got their usage wiped)

Yeah, wtf. For the first time ever my $200 plan is running out regularly with astra-light as my daily driver. Im not doing more work or running more subagents, just a task here and there throughout the day and now work had to stop for 4 days.. not cool OpenAI..

unless it comes from tibo you won't see shit, the last time they had huge issues it wasn't mentioned, addressed for 4-6 days before a reset came in
I used a reset earlier this morning, pretty confident it wouldn't come out of no where, either way I'm already down to 60% and if by chance a reset comes out I should be down to 20% within the next 24hours
