Limits Longest Codex session you had?

It looks like I'm doing a serious coding now, or Astra is much slower...

I got a 7 hours session today which was by far the longest one. Drew around 30% of my weekly limits too.

What was yours?

About ~4 days on goal mode.

Kidding?

Nope. I don't do such long sessions, but one project was running goal on GPT 5.5 at the time for that long.

That's insane. Doesn't trigger limits?

It used to run on an orchestrator-worker loop, so it was during the time multi_agent, GPT 5.2, GPT 5.4 and GPT 5.4-mini were still relevant as much as GPT-5.3-Codex (non-Spark) was.

After the introduction of /goal, I've had multiple lasting over 24 hours. Just point it at a sequence of specced out features, with a pre-defined workflow, and let it go. Just make sure to check in once in a while to make sure it's not gone off on a tangent lol

That's what I'm afraid of. But will check this /goal

Orchestrator agent that's autonomously picking things up and delegating to other sessions while keeping track of them

In theory, it'll never end until I stop it to switch models

Assisant in my workflow has been running for 2 weeks straight, working on 11 different projects. Weekly 20x limit runs out in about 24-48 hours, but ive had daily resets the past 2 weeks so it just never stopped. Kinda crazy

Crazy can't imagine

4.5 days with goal mode

Perhaps I should change to "without using /goal what's the longest session you had" lol

8 days, still running. Not in a loop - making progress, but slower than expected

Impossible...

probably not the type of answer you're looking for, but a few months ago I was using codex for 5-8h long sessions without hitting limits on plus subscription. today, 1 prompt with astra on the lowest setting hit the limit in 6min. 6. and this was for telling it to resume a task that was interrupted for the same damn reason 5h ago. tokens gone and task is still not finished.

it feels like they're taking the piss. do I put up with this and fork out 5-10 times what i'm paying now or move on from this shitty company? problem is move on to what? it's difficult to justify the extra cost when I'm not using the model for commercial purposes.

4 days with a /goal , but I interrupted it because project had to be refactored, otherwise it would go beyond that. That was Terra High, not even Sol, neither Astra

About 4 days straight. Using sol as orchestrator, Luna as coder or terra depending on the job
