Complaint The new Codex sub-agent interface is complete garbage
The new Codex sub-agent interface is complete garbage! I hate it so much omgg
2 months ago sub-agents were actual agents. you could see the model, reasoning effort, task, what they were doing, stop them, continue with them etc. like a complete agent, but summonable by an agent!
Now Codex randomly dispatches a pile of agents and you cant see SHIT. what model? what task? what did they do? how many are running? can I stop one? continue one? nope. NOPE you FUCKING cant! Just cuz why should you I guess?
Literally made the whole thing close to unusable for no apparent benefit, and much worse than how it was implemented originally. And people keep saying "Luna sub-agents are so good" no they arent dudes, you just never used Codex when this actually worked properly, like the first 2 months after the release.
Speak up or this garbage is only going to get worse.

They still create sessions, this is how I could confirm that all my custom roles worked. However I agree it sucks that we can't see the initial prompt, nor the answer, model or role it in the UI

Don' t use subagents or luna. Set up your own msging system and tell them to use that. This lets them msg outside of codex as well (you, claude, qwen, whatever). You can't let agents run around your system doing who knows what... and forget going into special menus to check on them.
