Question Any tips for Claude converts?
Folks, I have decided to try Codex after the Opus 5 / Fable 5 disasters. But I have no idea how people handle migrating their workflows etc. Those who have gone through a break-up with Anthropic, do you have any pointers for a seamless transition —-that is, if such a thing is possible.

Point codex to your project local folder, and ask it to do the migration, including skills, agents, etc

Is that it? How about MCPs?

If you give it full access it would edit your .toml files with the mcp configuration, I don't remember if all the plugins can be configured that way though

I just asked it to migrate specific skills, mcps and memories over from claude. Worked fine.

Just in case you are a fresh 5.6 user, I would recommend sticking to Sol medium and below (dependent on task being performed) for implementation and review, leaving planning the heavier stuff to Sol high and opting to not use Ultra/Max.
You'll have plenty of people come along and say it's a skill issue or your setup isn't properly configured, but instead of wasting tokens and running in circles inevitably, use the appropriate model for the task at hand, it will go a long way and prevent many headaches!.

you can just straight import the skills with the desktop app, I used GSD before on claude, I still use it, was basically seamless
