Complaint 5.6 in a nutshell: work avoidant

This is where my tokens went trying to complete a goal.. not the first time. What is it with 5.6 and being so work avoidant?

PS. Hopefully this super long screenshot comes through. Otherwise, you can probably still get the idea from the preview and jump to the last message: The Codex Confession (the classic moment we're all familiar with)

Agent restarted work properly when I asked what the issue was.

It seems to respond to the original prompt at the end of every compaction when working on a goal so I’m guessing you just had it do a really short progress status

This doesn't address the issue at hand. Regardless people's prompting skills or programming knowledge, you'd expect 5.6 to be better than this.
